The 2014 Winter Olympics this year are being held in Sochi, Russia.  Sochi is the the third largest region of Russia.  The Olympics this year are the most costly of any Olympic games thus far.  In the Winter Olympics there are twelve different winter sports that make an appearance.  Sochi is also statistically the warmest place to ever host a Winter Olympics.  The Winter Olympics this year are very interesting and have been in the news a lot more than previous years.
